We do this by offering specialised fabrics with specific waterproofing breathability combinations, this enables you customise your outerwear to your riding environment. OUTER SHELL FABRICS LAMINATION OR COATING? 3CS continues to use a laminated product for a number of reasons; it provides a very durable resilient waterproofing option. It has a constant waterproof rating over the entire roll of fabric so there are no variations in each garment that can be found if using the coating method of waterproofing. A membrane has a constant thickness and therefore maintains this important barrier between your body and the weather. Coated fabrics also loose a higher percentage of their waterproofing after a number of washes the rating can be reduced by up to 20% after 10 washes. Whereas a laminated fabric will only loose between 3% to 7% of its rating after 20 washes.
